Intense and quite complex, it opens with vegetal notes of nettle and tomato blossom, continues with fairly subtle fruity notes, and finishes with a light aroma reminiscent of elderberry. Quite refined.

Description

The San Leonardo Sauvignon 'Vette' owes its name to the imposing peaks that frame the vineyards from which it is born. Its character fully reflects the minerality and great freshness of these mountains. The harvest is strictly manual, carried out when the grapes are perfectly ripe in September. The white wine is vinified with crushing and destemming of the grapes, a brief cold pre-fermentation maceration, and soft pressing under nitrogen protection. Fermentation is cold at 12 degrees for 12 days. It ages for 5 months on the lees in stainless steel with frequent batonnage, cold stabilization, clarification, filtration, and bottling.
