Russiz Superiore Sauvignon is produced in Capriva del Friuli, between 80 and 200 meters above sea level. It is a 100% Sauvignon grown in a hilly area formed during the Eocene, featuring alternating marl (limestone and clay) and sandstone (cemented sand). After harvesting, the grapes are separated from the stalks. The juice and pulp undergo cold maceration, followed by a light pressing to separate them from the skins. Approximately 15% of the must is fermented in oak barrels, the remainder in steel tanks. The wine is left to age on the lees for approximately eight months and then bottled.
