Rivera's 'Preludio n°1' Chardonnay exemplifies the successful adaptation of Chardonnay to the Mediterranean climate of the limestone hills of the Castel del Monte DOC zone. The grapes are harvested in the second ten days of August and vinified at a controlled temperature. A few months of contact with the lees in concrete vats yields a wine with the pronounced personality typical of the variety, and a perfect balance between complexity and freshness.
