San Leonardo Tenute San Leonardo is born from a skillful blend of different grapes, vinified and aged separately: Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, and Merlot. Before bottling, the blend is made, and the exact proportions are decided only after a rigorous barrique-by-barrique tasting. Harvest takes place when the wine is perfectly ripe during the months of September and October. The first months of maturation are in concrete vats, followed by 18-24 months in first-, second-, and third-use barriques. Bottled for at least 18 months before release.
