Antinori's Negroamaro Masseria Maime Tormaresca is a red wine classified as Salento IGT. It is produced by the Tormaresca winery, owned by the Antinori family, within the Masseria Maime estate, which lends its name to the wine. The estate is located in Puglia, in the upper Salento region, near the Adriatic coast. Masseria Maime Negroamaro is made exclusively using Negroamaro grapes, a variety of Greek origin that has found the ideal conditions to express its full potential in Salento. This wine represents the most austere version of Negroamaro, a dry wine characterized by a pronounced acidity, yet still featuring sweet and spicy nuances. Harvest takes place around mid-September. Fermentation takes place in oak barriques, where it also begins, before aging in the bottle for several months.
