The Syrah ''Bramasole'' La Braccesca is produced on the eponymous estate, which extends across 508 hectares where the ancient farm of the Bracci counts once stood, giving rise to the estate's name and its coat of arms: an arm covered in armor holding a sword. The first vintage of Bramasole was 2000. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. The must is transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation and maceration take place. This begins at low temperatures to allow for the extraction of aromatic components, followed by higher temperatures, around 28°C, to allow for the controlled extraction of tannins and color. Maceration lasts approximately 20 days. The resulting wine is transferred to new and second-use French oak barriques, where malolactic fermentation takes place. The maturation period, which lasts approximately 18 months, ends with bottling which takes place in spring.
