The Rosso di Montalcino 'Poggio di Sotto' Collemassari is produced from a vineyard located approximately 200, 300, and 450 meters above sea level, with varying solar orientations. The production area is Castelnuovo dell'Abate, in the Orcia River valley. The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in 15-20 kg containers. The yield is 3,000-3,500 kg per hectare. After maturation, they are immediately subjected to a rigorous selection process. Vinification takes place after spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels. The wine ages in 30 hl oak barrels for 24 months and another 6 months in bottle before being released. It is unfiltered.
