The 2020 Lageder Pinot Noir 'Krauss' is one of the most representative wines of the Alois Lageder winery. Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, a grape now firmly established in the Alto Adige winemaking tradition, and grown biodynamically, this wine is an excellent expression of the local winemaking tradition. The Maso's soils are predominantly rocky, clayey, and calcareous. Once harvested, the grapes are pressed and transformed into must. Alcoholic fermentation, as is malolactic fermentation, takes place in steel tanks using indigenous yeasts. Aged for approximately 12 months in 225-, 300-, and 500-liter French oak barriques. Its many qualities include elegance, body, mineral notes, and a balanced salt content.
