Lacrima di Morro d'Alba 'Fonte del Re' by Umani Ronchi is named after an ancient water source in the municipality of Morro d'Alba, a charming town in the Marche region just steps from the Adriatic Sea and the heart of the eponymous DOC. The wine is made exclusively from Lacrima grapes, a rare and ancient variety fortunately preserved in our times and now grown exclusively in this tiny production area around the aforementioned town. The name comes from the teardrop that flows from the grapes when they ripen on the vine. This incredibly fragrant and colorful wine resembles a crisp, freshly picked fruit.
