The Biondi-Santi Brunello di Montalcino is the first Brunello in history and, for 150 years, has embodied the vision that inspired Clemente Santi in the 19th century when he created his first expression. It is, as it was then, a distinguished wine, with a complex and refined personality. The 2016 Brunello was produced from a selection of Sangiovese Grosso grapes from the estate's vineyards. The 2016 Brunello was vinified in glass-lined concrete vats using indigenous yeasts from our vineyards. It was then aged for three years in Slavonian oak barrels.
