The 2016 Brunello Di Montalcino 'Greppo' Riserva was produced exclusively from a selection of grapes from the estate's vineyards, including the oldest vines. The 2016 Riserva was vinified in vertical Slavonian oak barrels using indigenous yeasts from the vineyards. It was then aged for three years in Slavonian oak barrels. Structure and grace, tension and fragrance shape the personality of this Riserva, where dark cherries and dried violets find depth in endless balsamic sensations and aromas of Mediterranean scrub, menthol, leather, and flint. On the palate, the well-structured structure with youthful tannins, still pleasantly lively, and a vibrant freshness suggest a vintage destined for a very long life.
