Marchesi di Barolo's ''Cannubi'' Barolo comes from the historic vineyard on a long, gradually sloping hillside located in the heart of the Barolo area. Part of the wine is aged for approximately two years in 30- and 35-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels. The remaining part is aged in small, 225-liter, medium-toasted French oak barrels. The vineyard is brought together again with the blending in traditional large oak barrels and completes its maturation in the bottle before being released for sale. Barolo Cannubi reaches maturity six years after harvest, and the maturation plateau ranges from six to 25 years.
