The 2019 Giovanni Rosso Cerretta Barolo is a historic label from the famous Giovanni Rosso winery. Made from Nebbiolo grapes from the Cerretta cru, this Barolo stands out for its elegant austerity and complexity. The wine comes from a vineyard that, like all the others belonging to the company, enjoys a philosophy tending towards the minimal use of herbicides and a constant attention to creating a balance with the environment. This Barolo is produced with selected grapes and harvested by hand in mid-October. The bunches are fermented in concrete tanks, using exclusively indigenous yeasts for 28 days with daily pumping over. The wine ages in large 25 and 50 hectoliter French oak barrels for a period ranging from 18 to 36 months.
