Ruggeri's 'Vecchie Viti' Prosecco is made from Vecchie Viti di Valdobbiadene, the finest and longest-lived Prosecco, Bianchetta, Verdiso, and Perera vines. It pays homage to the land and the memory of the men and women who, with their hands and hearts, made the Valdobbiadene area unique and fertile. This wine comes from individual vines scattered throughout the Valdobbiadene area, not from a single vineyard. It's difficult to determine the exact age of these vines, but we can safely assume it's between 80 and 100 years old. The production of this wine required the collaboration of numerous growers, owners of the finest vineyards in San Pietro, Santo Stefano, Cartizze, Guia, and Saccol. During the winter and spring, two thousand old vines are selected, producing approximately 5,800 kilograms of grapes.
