Barbera d'Asti 'Le Orme' Chiarlo is produced from a selection of vineyards in the southern Asti area, with particular emphasis on the Podere La Court and Montemareto vineyards in Castelnuovo Calcea, La Serra in Montaldo Scarampi, and Costa delle Monache in Agliano. It ages for at least 16 months before being released for sale.

Barbera d'Asti 'Le Orme' Chiarlo is fermented in steel tanks. It undergoes 10 days of maceration on the skins and a gentle wetting of the cap using a 'shower' system at a temperature between 32 and 27°C. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel. It ages for at least 16 months before being released for sale.
