The Antinori Tormaresca 'Calafuria' Rosato takes its name from one of over 700 bays in Puglia. The region boasts a long tradition of producing rosé wines made from Negroamaro, a grape variety that best expresses its potential near the sea. This rosé, in fact, comes from vineyards that extend for over a kilometer along the Adriatic coast.

The Antinori Tormaresca 'Calafuria' Rosato is produced from a selection of grapes from Masseria Maìme in San Pietro Vernotico (BR). The grapes are hand-selected, delicately destemmed, and softly pressed. The resulting must is placed in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 10°C (50°F) to allow for natural decantation. Alcoholic fermentation then begins, conducted at low temperatures (16°C) to preserve the primary aromas. A brief period of aging in stainless steel follows, followed by four months of bottle aging.
