Franz Haas Moscato Rosa is made from grapes of the same name, vinified like a red wine, but with a short maceration to avoid extracting overly astringent tannins. Once the desired characteristics are achieved, fermentation is stopped with the aid of cold temperatures. The young wine then ages in steel barrels until bottling.

What to pair wine with Moscato Rosa Franz Haas 2024

Franz Haas Moscato Rosa is a very distinctive sweet wine that can be enjoyed as an aperitif or as a meditation wine. It's an excellent accompaniment to chocolate cakes, berry tarts, and cocoa-based desserts.

Contains sulfites.

Franz Haas Moscato Rosa is produced from the eponymous grapes grown at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters above sea level, in a highly breezy area. Wind is essential to prevent stagnant humidity, which would lead to the development of molds such as botrytis, which would reduce the color intensity and destroy the variety of aromatic components. The soils chosen for Moscato Rosa face south/southwest and are composed of a mixture of porphyry, sand, clay, and limestone. The grapes are vinified like a red wine, but with a brief maceration to avoid the extraction of overly astringent tannins. Once the desired characteristics are achieved, fermentation is stopped with the aid of cold. The young wine then remains in steel barrels until bottling.
