The Masciarelli 'Marina Cvetic' Merlot is produced in Ofena, at 500 meters above sea level, just a few meters from the ancient village of San Silvestro, close to the Abruzzo National Park. The vineyard is located in an area that experiences very cold temperatures in the winter months and very high temperatures in the summer, which are mitigated by the constant breezes from the Gran Sasso mountain range. The soil is medium-textured, rich in skeleton, with exposed rock. The wine ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, is aged in oak barriques for 12 months, and then refined in bottle for at least 24 months.
