The Rosso ''A.D. 1212'' Decugnano Dei Barbi is produced from 30% Sangiovese, 40% Syrah, and 30% Montepulciano grapes from the estate's best vineyards. Grown on marine, marly, and clayey soils with oyster fossils and shells from the Pliocene era. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel at a temperature of 24°-28° C for 12-15 days. Maceration on the skins lasts 7-14 days, depending on the variety. It ages partly in barrique for 12 months, partly in stainless steel. Finally, it ages in bottle for 12 months.
