Massolino's Barolo 'Vigna Rionda' is produced with Nebbiolo grapes from the estate's vineyard located in the Me.G.A. 'Vigna Rionda' in Serralunga d'Alba. The soil and microclimate of this hill yield exceptionally structured and complex wines. Traditional winemaking enhances the qualities of this cru, respecting its natural predisposition for long aging while simultaneously emphasizing the elegance and depth that only this vineyard can provide. This traditional Barolo is produced with long fermentation and maceration in oak vats at a temperature of around 30°C; it is aged in large Slavonian oak barrels for up to 42 months, followed by a further 24 months in the bottle. A key figure in the company's history, Vigna Rionda is one of the most sought-after and prestigious crus. It's not just about the microclimate and soil; it's a truly unique wine, simply Serralunga Barolo at the peak of its potential.
