La Spinetta's Barbaresco 'Valeirano' is made from a rigorous selection of the finest Nebbiolo grapes grown in the municipality of Treiso. These grapes macerate and ferment in temperature-controlled tanks for an average of 14-15 days. The resulting wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, 20% new and the remainder used a second time. It ages for 20-22 months and then refines in the bottle for approximately 6 months.
