Arneis Matteo Correggia was once considered a simple wine, meant for quick consumption, without any ambitious characteristics. However, over the past 20 years, thanks to a new awareness, identifying the right ripeness of the grapes in the vineyard, and working with greater care and ambition in the cellar, it has firmly established itself among the finest Italian white wines.

What to pair wine with Arneis Roero Correggia 2024

Matteo Correggia Arneis pairs well with fresh, simple dishes and is perfect with dishes rich in acidity.

Contains sulfites.

Arneis Matteo Correggia is produced exclusively with Arneis grapes, a variety that was perhaps somewhat undervalued in the past, not for its quality, but for its perceived value. It was considered a simple wine, meant for quick consumption, lacking ambitious characteristics. However, over the past 20 years, thanks to a new awareness, identifying the right ripeness of the grapes in the vineyard, and working with greater care and ambition in the cellar, the quality of the wine has undoubtedly improved, allowing it to compete with the best Italian whites. The winery has subjected Arneis to two experiments to demonstrate its qualitative potential: in 2009, they began producing it with 20-30% maceration on the skins, and in 2008, they began using a screw cap. Both experiments clearly demonstrated an incredible evolution, the likes of which had never been seen before, confirming that Arneis is anything but a simple wine.
