Sartarelli's Verdicchio 'Balciana' is made from grapes grown in the vineyard of the same name. The low yield per vine and the varying harvest times are key characteristics of this product of nature. The harvest period varies depending on the conditions of each year, but typically runs from early November to mid-November. Extreme care during the harvest (small crates) to avoid damaging the grapes that have reached this level of ripeness concludes the work in the vineyard, before moving on to standard cellar techniques (using only steel tanks), careful not to ruin all the work done previously. The complexity of all these processing phases naturally limits annual production to approximately 15,000 bottles. In unfavorable years, such as 1996, 2002, and 2005, it was not produced. After prolonged aging in the bottle, the wine acquires taste sensations of incomparable finesse.
