The Taurasi ''Vigna Grande Cerzito'' Riserva Quintodecimo is a one-hectare cru of Aglianico, planted in 2004 on the southern slope of the Quintodecimo estate. The soil, formed from ash and pumice, is volcanic, not calcareous, well-drained, deep, and coarse-textured, conditions that favor a high oxygen supply to the roots. The vineyard, at 440 meters above sea level with a 15% slope, has a planting density of 5,000 vines per hectare and is trained using the espalier system with spurred cordon pruning. The Vigna Grande Cerzito captivates with its power and elegance, with its refined aromas of cherry, plum, and chocolate and its fleshy, delicate palate. Extremely long-lived, it becomes even more refined and elegant with the passing of the years, complemented by refreshing notes of mint, eucalyptus, and incense.
