The St. Magdalener 'Plattner' Waldgries is part of the extensive wine portfolio of the Waldgries Estate, which dates back to the 13th century. The estate was purchased in the early 1900s by grandfather Plattner, and in 1969, his son Heinrich Plattner began bottling the classic St. Magdalener. Christian continues his grandfather's and father's tradition with passion and dedication. In the imagination of producer Christian Plattner, the Estate has always coincided with a 'world where anything can happen,' an image that has taken shape and consistency as it matures. In a winegrowing context that still retains its original appearance and geomorphological conformation, the St. Magdalener seduces with the wave of Mediterranean aromas that waft through the glass; once poured, it conjures images of palm trees, olive trees, and fig trees in an extraordinary setting dominated by the Dolomites. A very special wine, a good 20% of which ferments with its own stems. It's best served at 14-16 degrees Celsius.
