The Sauvignon Gump Hof 'Renaissance' Praesulis is produced in the southern Isarco Valley at the foot of the Sciliar massif at an altitude of 400–500 meters above sea level, on calcareous moraine soils on compact quartz porphyry. It is vinified with a short maceration followed by gentle pressing and fermentation in barrels (tonneau). It then ages for 12 months in barrels (tonneau) on the coarse lees, then in steel tanks for a year on the fine lees.
