Clear, ruby red in colour, consistent.

Intense and quite complex, with peppery notes and distinct hints of pepper and sweet tobacco, and an undertone of red jam and violet. Quite refined.

Dry, warm, smooth, quite fresh, tannic, and quite savory. Pleasantly drinkable, it has good concentration, ripe, harmonious tannins, and a long, fruity aftertaste.
What to pair wine with Rubesco Lungarotti 2021
Rubesco Lungarotti pairs well with Florentine steak, sliced beef with balsamic dressing and extra virgin olive oil, roast beef with baked potatoes, spit-roasted chicken, slightly aged cheeses (pecorino, parmesan), and lasagna alla Bolognese.

Rubesco Lungarotti has been part of the DOC since 1968 and is the most popular Lungarotti wine worldwide. The name Rubesco is a fictional brand name, derived from the Latin verb rubescere, meaning to blush: a joyful meaning. The label features a bas-relief depicting the grape harvest, a detail from the Fontana Maggiore in Perugia.
