What to pair wine with Pinot Nero Hofstatter 'Barthenau' S.urbano 2020

Pinot Nero Hofstatter ''Barthenau'' S.Urbano pairs perfectly with red meats, game and not too spicy cheeses.

Contains sulfites.

Pinot Noir Hofstatter ''Barthenau'' S.Urbano takes its name from the eponymous S. Urbano vineyard. After careful harvesting, the grapes arrive at the cellar in small crates to preserve their integrity. 75% of the grapes are destemmed, while another 25% remains intact for barrel fermentation. A day of cold maceration is sufficient to refine the bouquet. Fermentation follows for approximately 10 days with the skins in continuous contact with the must. Maturation in wood comprises two distinct phases: the first for approximately 12 months in small French oak barrels and the second consisting of a blending of the various barrels in a single large oak barrel for another approximately 8 months. After bottling, the wine further ages in the bottle for eight months in the cellars of the Barthenau estate.
