It represents the finest expression of oil, a deep, bright green, with a pronounced aroma of cut grass and artichoke, and a very intense, typically spicy flavor. In medieval times, the name Laudemio referred to the portion of the harvest reserved for the lord, the owner of the land. He was offered the best part of the harvest, known precisely as 'Laudemio,' a name which has since become synonymous with value and quality. Today, Laudemio is a Consortium founded in 1986 to achieve the highest quality, setting more restrictive rules than those prescribed by current legislation.
