The Cornell line represents Colterenzio's Grand Crus. The Lagrein vineyards are located in the classic Gries area of Bolzano, on deep alluvial soils composed of granite and porphyry. The Cornell ''Sigis Mundu'' Colterenzio Lagrein is clear, free of suspended particles, with a full, impenetrable ruby red color with light purple highlights. On the nose, it is intense, complex, and refined, with intense aromas of violet, blackberry, and black cherry, along with light notes of roasted coffee and chocolate, finishing with a subtle hint of leather. On the palate, it is dry, warm, and very soft, a powerful wine with still-young tannins. Best served at 16-18 degrees Celsius.
