Gattinara Nervi is produced in the oldest winery in the entire Gattinara area, founded by Luigi way back in 1906. It is made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes, locally known as Spanna, grown in the Molsino, Valferana, Garavoglie, and Casacce vineyards, between 290 and 425 meters above sea level, on mineral-rich volcanic porphyry soils with a high clay content mixed with fine sand. It is clean, straightforward, and austere.
