Friulano Toros is produced with the eponymous grapes in the Novali area of the municipality of Cormons. To the north, the Julian Prealps protect the vineyards from cold northerly winds, and a short distance to the south, the Adriatic Sea helps mitigate temperature fluctuations, favoring a climate characterized by mild winters and fairly cool summers, essential for the perfect development of the vines. Added to these positive factors is the 'ponca,' the typical hilly soil of this area, consisting of stratified marl and sandstone that, over the centuries, has been eroded by atmospheric agents, creating an ideal soil for viticulture, rich in nutrients and minerals.
