The 50&50 Avignonesi is the expression of a dual terroir: the Chianti soil, rich in galestro, and the clayey soils of Montepulciano. The characteristics of these two terroirs are perfectly combined in the choice of grape varieties used for the 50&50. The Sangiovese di Capannelle brings structure, tannins, and austerity to the blend, while the Merlot di Avignonesi contributes elegance, softness, and depth.

50&50 Avignonesi is a wine born from the friendship between the owners of Avignonesi di Montepulciano and Capannelle del Chianti Classico, and from the pursuit of excellence that distinguishes the production style of both estates. It is a wine that interprets the distinctive qualities of two of Tuscany's oldest winemaking areas, in a surprising expression of dual terroir: the Chianti soil, rich in galestro, and the clayey soils of Montepulciano. The characteristics of these two terroirs are perfectly combined in the choice of grape varieties for 50&50. Capannelle's Sangiovese brings structure, tannins, and austerity to the blend, while Avignonesi's Merlot contributes elegance, softness, and depth.
