Casale della Ioria's Cesanese del Piglio 'Torre del Piano' is produced with Cesanese di Affile grapes from a vineyard ideally located at the foot of the Ernici mountains. These are the only grapes used to produce this wine. After a careful harvest that selects only the finest bunches and meticulous vinification with numerous lees-draining operations, the wine rests in small oak barrels. Bottle aging completes the maturation process, yielding an intense, structured, ruby-red wine with all the aromas this amazing grape variety can offer.
