Barolo Chinato Ceretto is produced in the Langhe region. In times past, families in these areas used it to prepare hot punches to serve as an offering to guests. Today, it is served at around 12-14°C (54-57°F) paired with chocolate in its many forms.

Barolo Chinato Ceretto is a blend of Barolo DOCG wine and 12 aromatic herbs, including quinine, which are infused separately before being blended with the Barolo. Ceretto was one of the producers who revived this product in the 1980s after a period of postwar indifference.
