The ingredients used to flavor these pioneering drinks all come from the lush English countryside, partly self-produced on the estate. Ben had two dreams: the first was to continue the family's nine-generation agricultural tradition, the second was to solve the dilemma of 'what to drink when you can't drink'. It was over two years of research, in close contact with expert distillers, botanists and historical experts in the sector, that inspired the creation of the world's first non-alcoholic spirit. The production process lasts almost six months as each botanical requires specific maceration times and distillation temperatures. Even the name is deeply rooted in tradition: seedlips were the baskets used by Ben's family to sift the seeds of the plants they grew. Seedlip Spice 94 harks back to 1494, when Christopher Columbus discovered Jamaica pepper in the Caribbean; this spice is the main ingredient in this blend.
