Rosso Piceno Superiore from Cantina Offida is produced in the province of Ancona, in the municipality of the same name, which offers excellent viticultural characteristics. The vineyards grow on hills between 250 and 350 meters above sea level. The soil is predominantly clayey, with a good amount of tuff and limestone. The wine is composed of 70% Montepulciano, with the remaining 30% Sangiovese. Harvest takes place in early October, and after selecting the best bunches and destemming them, the must is left to macerate in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged in large barrels for 18 months before being bottled and released for sale.
