Petra di Petra is the very symbol of the company's vision, so much so that it bears its name. Petra tells ancient stories with new words. The grapes, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, are harvested on calcareous soils with the perfect balance of clay and gravel. These soils are ideally suited to the varieties grown, but above all, they allow their distinctive characteristics to emerge. The grapes are transported in crates, fermentation occurs naturally with indigenous yeasts, and vinification takes place in 100-hectoliter truncated cone-shaped oak vats. Finally, the wine ages for 18 months in first-, second-, and third-use barriques, characterized by a medium, light toasting that complements and enhances the fruit without ever overpowering it. It then ages for an equally long time in the bottle before leaving the cellar.
