Ornellaia Tenute dell'Ornellaia is a cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, a faithful expression of Bolgheri and its unique terroir, always in harmony with nature. The 2017 vintage was celebrated by artist Tomàs Saraceno with a special label, commemorating the 2017 vintage, which will go down in history as one of the hottest and driest. This year, the percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon has increased compared to Merlot. Also noteworthy compared to previous vintages is the alcohol content, which this year reaches 15%. Ornellaia is a benchmark wine of the Bolgheri area and is a true example of the finest Bordeaux blend in Italy. It typically expresses its full pleasure approximately 5-8 years after the harvest. The same estate also produces the famous Ornellaia, from a single Merlot vineyard.
