Montecucco Collemassari Riserva is a wine made from vineyards located approximately 300 meters above sea level, with varying solar orientation and soil composition. Sandstone soils alternate with marl, ferrous and calcareous clay soils, and gravel deposits. Fermentation of the must lasts approximately 25-39 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (27-30°C). Malolactic fermentation also takes place in the steel tanks. Half of the wine then ages for a further 18 months in oak barriques and barrels, 50% new and the remaining 50% used once or twice.
