Marsala ''Baglio'' Florio was created in 1979 and has since been produced exclusively from Grillo grapes in the Birgi and Spagnola districts, along the coastal strip north of Marsala. The grapes, harvested with a high sugar content, are softly pressed to extract the precious substances contained in the skins from the must. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature and the must is prepared using only wine distillate, according to the Marsala Vergine tradition. Aged for over 10 years in precious 300-liter oak barrels. Aged for one year in the bottle.
