A native Alto Adige grape variety that thrives in mixed soil with a good amount of silt and clay. The bunch is small and compact, and the berry is medium-sized with a fairly thick skin and hues ranging from intense yellow to orange to copper. The leaves are small and rounded. Its name, Gewurztraminer, literally means 'Aromatic Traminer,' and its main characteristic is its exceptionally aromatic flavor; it recalls roses, lychees, a hint of star anise, and even cinnamon. It is very structured and full-bodied, and the aromas linger pleasantly in the mouth for a long time, leaving a very intense aftertaste.
