The Carignano del Sulcis 'Buio' Mesa is produced with the native Carignano grape. The cellar is very distinctive, with the bottle labels depicted on the outside wall. The grapes are brought to the upper level of the cellar for crushing and destemming. Following a natural flow, they are then transferred to the lower levels where the vinification begins. After maceration and periodic pumping over, the must matures and ages in steel and concrete vats.
