The Brunello Val di Suga in magnum format is an ideal wine to give as a gift or to keep in the cellar for long aging. The magnum format is in fact ideal for bottle aging. It is a wine produced exclusively with Sangiovese Grosso grapes from the three vineyards that the winery has in the three historic areas of Montalcino (northern, southeast, and southwest slopes). The grapes from the three areas are harvested and fermented separately and blended only at the end of the aging process. It ferments at a temperature of 25–27°C. In order to have a better tannic structure, the wine is left to macerate on the skins for 20–25 days after alcoholic fermentation at a temperature of 25°C. It ages in 50 hl Slavonian oak barrels for 36 months. 12 months of bottle aging.
