Barolo Pio Cesare A classic Barolo, full-bodied and elegant, structured and harmonious, with soft tannins and just the right amount of fruit, austere yet mellow. A very long-lived wine. Produced from the Pio family's vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba (Cascina Ornato, La Serra, Briccolina, and Lirano), Grinzane Cavour (Gustava and Garretti), La Morra (Roncaglie), Novello (Ravera), and, since the 2015 harvest, Monforte d'Alba (Mosconi). It has always been produced using grapes from various areas: this has always been the formula followed by the most historic families to produce a Barolo that represents the expressions of the various great terroirs of the Barolo region.
