The 2019 Barolo Burlotto Monviglieri is a wine for special occasions. The vineyard from which the grapes come is the northernmost in the Barolo area, not far from the Tanaro River. The Monvigliero vineyard, trained using the Guyot system and entirely south-facing, is located in the central amphitheater of the hill at an altitude of 300 meters. The harvest is carried out by hand to preserve the integrity of the fruit and allow for a careful selection of the grapes. The vinification takes place with whole bunches of undestemmed grapes in open French oak vats. To avoid breaking the stems, pressing is still done by foot. The 2019 Barolo Burlotto Monviglieri ferments and ages in Slavonian oak barrels for approximately three years. Bottling takes place in the summer without filtration or fining.
