The Bolgheri Rosso 'Argentiera' Tenuta Argentiera is produced with 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Franc grapes, hand-picked from the estate's most suitable vineyards, located between 180 and 200 meters above sea level. The whole berries fall by gravity into fermentation tanks, separated by variety. Fermentation and maceration take place in steel tanks for approximately 25–30 days at a controlled temperature no higher than 28–30°C. The wine is then placed in half-new 225-liter French oak barriques, where malolactic fermentation is completed. It is then aged for approximately 18 months in barriques and subsequently for another 12 months in bottle before being released.
