Description

Carpano 'Antica Formula' Vermouth is produced from white wines sourced from select Italian vineyards in Romagna, Puglia, and Sicily, processed within 24 hours of receipt to prevent oxidation. The numerous aromatic plants are extracted through hot infusion or cold extraction, depending on the raw material, following methods handed down over the centuries that, along with the formula, constitute the secret of this product. The saffron used in Antica Formula is of high quality, sourced primarily from the highlands of Iran, and comes in whole stigmas free of impurities. This ingredient is known for its antioxidant properties and its preciousness: to obtain one kilogram, the stigmas of approximately 150,000 flowers must be hand-picked. In Persia, it was used as an aphrodisiac.
