The Moratti 'Cuvée Dell'Angelo' Pas Dosé sparkling wine is dedicated to Angelo Moratti, an Italian entrepreneur and sports manager who died 40 years ago, in 1981. It is a classic method wine produced in the Oltrepò Pavese area on the Cigognola Castle estate, a 13th-century manor purchased by the Moratti family in 1982. The estate, which covers 36 hectares, 28 of which are vineyards, has been declared a historical heritage site by the FAI (Italian Environmental Fund). Cuvée dell'Angelo is made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes, grown in a vineyard on the northwestern side of the Cigognola hill. It ages on the lees for 72 months.
