Burgundy and Loire: the best whites on offer
Burgundy and the Loire Valley are the French wine regions that are the cradle of two of the most important international grape varieties, respectively Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. In fact, these are the two territories of choice for these grapes, which thanks to the ideal climatic conditions and the rich composition of the soils are able to express themselves to their maximum potential, forming the basis for elegant wines, long-lived and unique in their organoleptic profiles, also fruit of a centuries-old wine tradition through which the producer is in perfect symbiosis with his territory. Have fun discovering the differences between the Chardonnays of Chablis, of the Cote d'Or and of the Maconnais, in Burgundy, and the nuances that distinguish the Sauvignon Blanc of Sancerre from those of Pouilly-sur-Loire (hence the appellation Pouilly Fumé) in the Loire Valley: only two vines for many different expressions of wine, demonstrating the great wealth of wine-growing France.
